The NFPB&CS Centenary Breed Show

The New Forest Pony Breeding & Cattle Society (NFPB&CS) Centenary Breed Show, was memorable for all sorts of reasons, not least because of a last minute change of  venue from New Park, Brockenhurst, to the Beaulieu Estate, which is the site of the remains of Beaulieu Abbey.

The event celebrated 100 years of showing New Forest ponies on their home territory and the Show welcomed ponies and competitors from Europe as well as from Scotland and throughout England.

For the Highfox Stud it was an un-forgetable Show for other reasons. One of our home bred ponies, a four year old mare, Highfox Evensong, the last foal by Fijal Maestro, won the Yeld Mare ne 138cm class, the Breeders Cup, the NPS Silver Medal and went on to stand Supreme in Show.

Below are a selection of photos of Evensong from the NFPB&CS Centenary Show 2006 (all photographs copyright Kay Bailey and Alison Pink).
