Ponies at Home

At Highfox it is usual for the ponies to live out, only coming in if the weather is very severe.....or if they get too fat! They usually run together as a small herd. Our land rises to an excess of 1,000 feet above sea level, so they demonstrate the New Forest pony's natural native hardiness by thriving living pretty much as nature intended, in quite harsh conditions. This page contains an assortment of pictures of ponies in the rough, living out on the hill at different times of the year.
